Open Call: 'Organisational Diagrams for Everyday Lives of Socially Engaged Artists' - Helen Stratford

  • Access Space 3-7 Sidney Street Sheffield, England, S1 4RG United Kingdom (map)

What do you do everyday? How do you organise your daily life? Is it productive?

Recently, while working with communities whose existence has been deemed without ‘economic justification,’ Helen has been exploring what makes a ‘productive’ life.

Equipped with a library of architectural / diagrammatic books alongside self-help guides, such as ‘DOING IT NOW!’ and ‘GETTING IT DONE!,’ light boxes, drawing tables, and flow chart templates, Helen is inviting delegates to join her in making diagrams of day-to-day challenges and routines.

Playing with pie charts, flow charts, colour charts, bar charts and other organisational devices, this session will bring everyday, yet personally unique routines together with the measured ways that try to organise our daily existence; critiquing those organising devices that promise to "change you to who you really want to be."
